One set down, just 2 more to go. I just finished my manikin portion of boards yesterday. We have 3 main areas to pass. A written test (it takes 3 days), a manikin test, and a patient based test. I had to prepare one crown prep, a bridge prep, and preform two root canals on my plastic patient. It went really well. All of our examiners were extremely nice old men who walked around smiling and greeting us. I got finished really quickly, good or bad I don't know? I think I saw that only 3 people had turned in their instruments before me. I felt this natural high as soon as it was over. I thought I would come home and sleep for days...I've been up late practicing a lot lately, but I had so much energy!
Mike had taken me to dinner the night before. It was so nice to be out and about with him. I felt like I had really been neglecting him lately. As I was driving to take the exam, I had this overwhelming feeling that this journey is almost over... In these last four years I have grown so much and so many major events have come about. It seems like just yesterday I was waiting with anticipation to see if I would even get into Dental school on my first try. I was single then and so excited to prove that I could take care of myself. I've really loved it here in Wisconsin and I truly feel like it wasn't a coincidence that I ended up here. This state will always hold a special place in my heart. So next is Written boards...Bring It ON!

so glad things went well!
I thought about writing about Travis taking those, but I wasn't sure he would appreciate me sharing his start to the day... did you see him/or know why he had to get up for a band aid at the get go..? Good story, ask if you don't know. :)
